Weaving With Willow

We played with willow at the last Earth Hearts Workshop.

I’ve always been interested in weaving with willow, and I was surprised to find that it was more challenging than I had expected.

Natural materials want to do what they want to do. They have their own mind and qualities. 

So, I found myself submitting to the willow.

Things usually got worse before they got better. 

Eventually – whatever I was making took shape – a sphere, a web, and a cone.
