Testimonies

“When you stay in a place for a while, you begin to acquaint yourself with its cycles of sounds. The hums, the clicks, the whirrs. Spring Bird invites guests to immerse themselves a lush sound cloud that drifts seasonally as well as cyclically throughout the day. I arrived with snow on the ground and all was quiet. Weeks later, I watched delightedly as spring blossomed all around, bringing bird song that announced renewal. Dawn’s robins and jays turn to evening’s owls and frogs. If ever there were a place to find the soundtrack for the natural world mingled just slightly with the modern world of WiFi and air conditioning, it is here.”

“Just finished up a weekend retreat at Spring Bird to plan for our new business venture Joyful Ground. Spring Bird just allowed us to have a space to just BE – a complete getaway in nature. We literally meditated while watching through the window all kinds of beautiful birds. It’s such a beautiful place and inspires and invokes creativity. And Anna is the best host always willing to provide anything needed but still allowing us to have our own space.”

“. . . thanks again for such a lovely stay at the Springbird Cottage. The space was cozy and perfect for the ColorWord Creative staff retreat. We loved watching the birds and the deer, and the the kitchen came in so handy for our meals. Thanks, also, for the water. We loved being able to opt out of plastic bottles and still drink filtered water–thank you! We left feeling refreshed, reconnected, inspired, and energized for the year ahead.”

We hope you’ll have us back again next year.

“Spring Bird is, for me, an excellent retreat site:  quiet, solitude, full windows for viewing the outdoors.  Sometimes the only agenda I have is to sit in an armchair and do nothing except practice mindfulness. Sometimes I find that my worry and stress level recedes into contentment and a spiritual depth that I do not experience enough.”
–Ralph

“At Spring Bird I touch the Wild place of Earth and Self where Love lives.”
–Lynn  Fleming

“I have been going to Spring Bird since 2007.  It is my sacred woods where I can leave behind my hectic schedule and relax into myself.  Such peace is difficult to find.  I am so grateful Anna and Patrick are sharing their land with all spiritual travelers who find their way to Spring Bird.  When I turn into the tree lined driveway I know I am home.”

“If you wish to have a quiet relaxing day to reflect and just rest..this place is perfect for you.”
