In all seriousness, cabbage feels like one of those foods that is connected to my DNA. Whether it was a juicy cabbage roll or assertive sauerkraut or tomatoey cabbage soup – cabbage feels like it’s tied to my identity. 

These days, I love it as zeli (which I shared yesterday) or in tangy, summer coleslaws. I go in waves of making kimchi, and I love heaping spoonfuls from the barrel of sauerkraut at the Polish Deli (more on that next week).
