Walking With Jaguar

It came as no surprise to me that the animal oracle card that I pulled for 2022 was Jaguar. 

Cats of all shapes and sizes have been coming to me a lot lately – but especially the wonderful Jaguar!

While cats in general, for me, remind me to maintain clear boundaries and to make sure my own needs are met, Jaguar has a specific meaning for the Maya. 

According to Jamie Sams and David Carson who wrote “Medicine Cards”, Jaguar is about integrity and impeccability. They write, “ Its mission is to devour the unclean aspects of human behavior.” 

Whether it’s working towards not passing judgement on others or myself – or not indulging in being self-righteous and self-important – or just scraping the gunk from under my bathroom sink, I’m ready to walk with Jaguar – and with a great sense of compassion for mistakes and imperfection.
