Tomatillos and Salsa Two Ways

Tomatillos and Salsa Two Ways

Ooooh! Look at this bowl of tomatillos! We’ve been fortunate to have some healthy and productive tomatillo plants this year.

Summer is the Season of Salsa!!!

We have two favorite recipes (one green and one roasted red) that we learned while we (Patrick and I) were volunteers at Annunciation House in El Paso, Texas.

Annunciation House is a house of hospitality for migrants. It is a place to rest and be nurtured for before moving on. One of the guests taught me a roasted red salsa recipe, and a fellow volunteer shared his salsa verde recipe with us. We’ve been making both for almost 20 years now!

And I shared both recipes with Woolgathering subscribers in the latest Summer Issue.

I hope you all are partaking in Summer tomatoes one way or another. They are for sure one of the highlights of the season!
