Happy New Year

Happy New Year

“When the last days come

We shall see visions

More vivid than sunsets

Brighter than stars

We will recognize each other

And see ourselves for the first time

The way we really are.”

  • From “Against Pollution” by the Mountain Goats

On this last day, I hope that you may see yourself – as perfect as you really are!

Relax, you are perfect already – and whole – and worthy, right now!!

And if you are thinking about tomorrow and the following 364 days,

Remember that Mary Oliver tells us, “You do not have to be good” and that “You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.”

We don’t know what lies ahead for us personally – or for the world – or for the planet – or for the universe, but I think whatever comes at us, we can’t go wrong by loving what we love, loving whom we love, and doing our best from love and not for love.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Thank you for reading, receiving, engaging with, Spring Bird content! Sending Love TO You!!

PS I write this post for you, but mostly for me who sometimes gets lost in the intoxicating buzz of capitalism’s productivity pushers. Not today. Not this year.
