Happy Labor Day to Farmers

Happy Labor Day!

Today, I am grateful to all of the people who grow our food. 

Farming is intense and laborious work – especially if you are practicing regenerative farming techniques. 

Farmers farm because of their deep connections to soil, environment, plants, and animals. I’m so grateful to all who answer the call to inhabit this challenging and hardworking vocation. I hope that we as a community find ways to support our farmers’ work and create means to make their days a little more easeful.

Until then, support your local farmers and food producers. They’re doing critical and necessary work!

On a less serious note, I am also grateful for having the opportunity to design this t-shirt fairly insignificant work) for the recent Farm-ily reunion gathering of the Northern Illinois Young Farmers Coalition.
