Everyday Woolgathering: Damselflies and Mosquito Clouds

Have you ever walked into a Mosquito Cloud?  Are these the boys flying in circles while the women mosquitoes go out and get blood? This is what I think about everytime I walk through a particular mosquito cloud that hovers over the path  to my studio from the house.  There are damselflies there too, which I swear I had never seen in my life until moving to Spring Bird. When I incorrectly referred to them as dragonflifes, my children (then ages 5 and  8) quickly corrected me. How did they know about damselflies? I was impressed! Anyway these blue damselflies hang around the barn and gardens during the Summer. I wish I would have noted when they first appeared this year. Next year, I will pay better attention.
