Cup of Tea Heals All
I made this illustration for the Winter Issue of Woolgathering Magazine which featured a blue theme.
In searching for blue inspiration I came across this particular Polish Pottery style. I fell in love with the circular peacock inspired designs and decided to draw some pieces essential to winter – a tea cup, pitcher, and soup bowl.
In this cold and often sniffly season nothing hits home more than a cup of tea or a warm bowl of soup. They are transformative experiences in my book capable of healing illnesses of all sorts – the viral kind or those more aligned with gloom.
On second thought, this pottery is so beautiful that I think I could be healed just by having it around empty!
Cheers to you and your next cup of tea! Stay well everyone!
