Homesick for Fall
If you are someone who grew up in a place with four seasons and then lived/live somewhere absent of four seasons, what aspects/traditions/seasonal happenings did you miss?
Author Maria Carvalho wrote a story for the Fall Issue of Woolgathering in which she speaks to that particular homesickness when regular seasonal rhythms that once seemed so reliable and permanent are so missed when we find ourselves in other climates and cultures.
On the flip side, if you grew up in a place with more subtle seasonal changes and have lived/live in a place with more distinct seasons, what do you miss?
