Dark Dream for Dark Times

Dark Dream for Dark Times

I wrote a piece called “dreamtime in the daynight” for the Winter Issue of Woolgathering, in which I explored how the darkness of Winter allows for active dream time that  generates  new growth in Spring.

Unfortunately I have been plagued by the most exhausting and disturbing dreams this past week – the kind you are grateful to wake up from. Perhaps this is the way it must be – meeting the darkness inside during these dark months. I hope that my subconscious is working through it all  so that something new can be born from it in brighter days.

Until then, I toss and turn and attempt to find meaning in the dark chaos of my dreaming brain.
